Job Summary

This position is part of the call center team, within the Operations Department, as the main contact for the company’s agents and customers. The team is responsible for handling all calls and emails from company policyholders seeking information or requiring service to their policies. The team is also responsible for the initial set up of all Auto, Property, BOP, Umbrella claim report calls, in person, or by electronic means. This position will handle all calls, live chats, and some in-coming emails from the company’s agents.

Qualifications
  • Relevant insurance call center experience or college degree preferred
  • Insurance producer’s license or the ability to obtain your license
  • Strong customer service and active listening skills
  • Proficient computer knowledge with experience in Excel and Word
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Works well in a team environment as well as independently
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Takes incoming customer calls, emails, etc. to provide accurate, satisfactory answers to their policy questions and coverage questions involving agents with changes to policy exposures as appropriate
  • Takes incoming agent calls, emails, chats, etc. to assist with inquiries on new quotes and existing policy questions
  • Acts as a backup to the receptionist, serving in a rotation during the week
  • Makes basic underwriting decisions in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Assists with agent maintenance to keep records up to date
  • Set up initial claim reports as they come in by policyholders, claimants, agents, etc.
  • Assist with record destruction program as needed
  • Will assist as back up for MWP/Collinsville office

- $18.00 hourly/starting wage
