Exceptions for Missouri Consumers in Disaster Areas
Governor Eric R. Greiten has declared Audrain, Barry, Barton, Bates, Benton, Bollinger, Boone, Butler, Callaway, Camden, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Cedar, Christian, Cole, Cooper, Crawford, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Dunklin, Franklin, Gasconade, Greene, Henry, Hickory, Howard, Howell, Iron, Jasper, Jefferson, Johnson, Laclede, Lawrence, Lincoln, Madison, Maries, McDonald, Miller, Mississippi, Moniteau, Montgomery, Morgan, New Madrid, Newton, Oregon, Osage, Ozark, Pemiscot, Perry, Phelps, Pike, Pettis, Polk, Pulaski, Ralls, Reynolds, Ripley, Saline, Scott, Shannon, Stoddard, Stone, St. Clair, St. Charles, St. Louis, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Taney, Texas, Vernon, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Webster, and Wright counties disaster areas due to the recent severe flooding in the State of Missouri. Many of our policyholders have been impacted by this event. As a result, we are implementing the following procedures to lessen the hardship experienced by our affected policyholders in these areas.
No cancellations or non-renewals will be issued between April 28, 2017 and May 30, 2017 on affected policies. Policies that have received a prior notice will be reinstated with no lapse in coverage. During this period of time, no cancellations or non-renewals will be processed due to an increase in the risk. Policyholders that have received notices from the Company regarding repairs or other recommendations will have this time extended.
